  The best of small town down home cooking! A piece of Americana that I hope never dies. Im lucky that I live in a town that has a place like this. Deffently a place to eat if you ever find your self in the area!

  Paula's Hot Biscuit is a little gem. Happy decor of comfortable tables, painted in primary colors; a gas stove for cozy heating; and one or two pertinent kitchen antiques for hominess. No gimmicks, no frills. If you prefer to be greeted by aroma of hot coffee and bacon when you come through the door, instead of the latest synthetic air freshener, you'll not be disappointed here. The bacon was perfectly crispy, the country ham tender, the grits were creamy and served in their own little pot to keep them hot; the coffee, gravy and eggs all really good. The ladies cooking, ( the kitchen is in full view), taking orders and serving, were all very hospitable. I wish we had come earlier so we could have stayed longer. I would give 5 stars, but can only do 4 based on the one visit. Even though we came late in the breakfast service, I think the biscuits could have been fresher. I hope they're homemade but by the well-set texture, I couldn't be sure.The biscuits at Paula's Hot Biscuit, were not hot. Sorry, but baking in smaller batches, even if that means almost constantly putting them in the oven and taking them out again, is all that is needed. Everthing else took me back to childhood, breakfasting at the home of one of my old timey Great Aunt's kitchens. I hope I get to visit again!

  Food was great absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend number 1 country ham two eggs over medium hashbrowns full order biscuits and gravy all for under $8
